Jim Clark in Colin Chapman’s Lotus 25 is shown just ahead of the BRMs of Graham Hill and Richie Ginther during the early stages of the 1962 United States Grand Prix at Watkins Glen. After swapping the lead, Clark and Hill continued to run a close race with Clark eventually taking the checkered flag. The World Championship for Drivers however, went to Hill that year. Jim Clark was to enjoy his first World Championship the following year.
